Also, for anyone who's curious and wants credit as a beta/assistant -- I am working on a Harry Potter/Inspector Lynley Mysteries crossover. I need timeline help like whoa. You see, as it stands, the characters portrayed by Nat Parker and Sharon Small are pushing fifty in book!canon. Keeping their ages in place makes sense, as it puts Havers two years behind Snape in school (important plot point). Wizards are longer-lived; both of them would be aging a little more slowly than the general populace.

But what about Helen? She'd be about their age, too, and that makes certain TV!canon plot points difficult in the 2000s.
