My mum will kill me, but it's my room so I'll decorate it how I like...
See, I've had the urge to do my room following this one suggestion I read in a girls' magazine waaaaay back when. The idea was to decorate using dresses. Well, I took it a little further.
Hanging on my walls right now are...
-- a slinky bathrobe
-- a Victorian gown
-- a jacket, skirt, and scarf that I kinda paired together
-- two scarves (green, fuchsia plaid) over the gaping maw of my closet
-- a jagged-hemmed "witch" costume
-- a light, gauzy skirt I've had forever
-- a single black and white stocking with a run in its knee
-- a white sundress with a crinoline and ballet slippers
-- a Gryffindor scarf
-- a tweed hat
-- a red velvet hat
-- a blue and purple circlet
-- a bodice over a chemise
-- a blue and gold circlet
-- a knit bandanna
-- a jester's hat
I have scarves draped everywhere, some to hide, some to decorate. All of my little knickknacks are displayed where I used to only keep inks. I took my DVDs out of their shoebox and put 'em with the manga. There is a feather boa sitting on my refrigerator, garnished with a really cheesy little tiara. I've even put my painted "otaku" chair on top of the dresser; using that as the high point of the feature, I worked my way down with fake blue roses, a book on dreams, a cigar tin full of pennies, and my heatable heart pillow.
I quite love the way everything looks. I will now go and take pictures so all of you can love the way it looks, too.
