In which apparently I am feeling controversial.

And it might not look all that controversial from the get-go, but let me pose the question anyway:

Why is it noble to have a child who may not be wanted, but selfish to get neutered if you know you don't want kids?

Because from where I sit, if I already know I don't want kids, and have known for a decade or more (never wanted to be "Mommy" when we played house!), why are my options basically "keep playing Abortion Roulette" or "give birth and send the poor thing straight into foster care"? Oh, I know, I'm a white woman dating a white man, so my little white babies are bound to get snapped up by well-meaning parents. Maybe I'm not interested in putting my offspring in someone else's hands. Maybe I'd rather never have a kid than risk its parents being total shitheads.

So why don't you fucking fuckers give me a fucking tubal already?

Seriously, I'm opting out. I'm saying I will forfeit my right to a biological child. I will even pay for the privilege, even though I'm saving you-the-taxpaying-doctor a ton of money. My non-child will never be anyone's burden! My non-abortion, which already doesn't cost you a damn cent, will never sit heavy on anyone's conscience, including my own! You get to pick the lawyer; I will sign whatever waivers you want. In fact, because I'm a desperate generous soul, I'll pay the legal fees!
